Pondmaster Magnetic-Drive Pumps can be used submerged or in-line (non-submerged), and have a three year limited warranty. I replaced the bulb and the unit was bad so it fried the bulb.  I recommend just buy a new fixture instead. UL listed to U.S. and Canadian safety standards
